The Aircraft Carrier USS Bon Homme Richard was used in WW2 in the Pacific Theater.  The aircraft carriers brought the war to the enemy.  The aircraft carriers were super important for ground support and to soften the landings of our troops.  When an aircraft carrier was in the area, it was the main target of the enemy because of its super military capability.  Building aircraft carrier models and ship models in general, are a tremendous asset to the development of a kids mind.  It teaches the kids about construction practices, blueprint reading, and US History and Navy History.  Building Model Kits make a big help in developing a kids motor skills and mechanical knowledge.  There is not enough to be said about building ship models because it's an all around good training and learning experience for your kids, especially when it is supplemented by watching a good Navy Movie.  The two, A Model and a Movie fit together very well and will bring excitement to your kids model building experience.
