1/350 Scale. Also know as Orel Class, the Kuznetsov was launched in the Black
Sea in 1985. It is the only aircraft carrier in the Russian Navy. The "Kuznetsov"
supports subs and surface ships in the Russian Fleet. The unusual design of this
carrier includes a bow ski-jump take-off deck angled at 12 degrees. Kit consists
of 755 parts on 24 sprues, plus a lower hull, upper hull, warterline plate (for
optional waterline display), flight decks & display stand. Metal hull frame and
screws are included. Aircraft included are (3) Su27K, (3) Mig29K, (4) Yak41M,
(4) Ka27 (14 planes total), each with clear canopy and folding wings. Markings
are for the modern Russian fleet. Completed kit measures over 34 long. Skill
level 3

1:700 scale. Can be built Waterline, or as full-hull. Kiev is the first aircraft
of the former USSR Kiev-Class carriers. The keel was laid on in July of 1970 In
May 1975,kiev officially joined in the USSR Navy on its active duty in the
former USSR Pacific Fleet. There are eight missile launchers located on the head
of the deck along with a number of other functional missile launchers on the
four sides of upper deck. The carrier is also equipped with four 76mm
conventional guns which make it so different from the U.S.Navy Ships. Kiev was
the first aircraft carrier that carried vertical and short-distance take-off
fighters. This model measures 15 1/4" long when complete. Comes with 123 pieces
and photo-etched brass propeller. Decals included for 3 Kiev Class Versions.
