A List of Airplane Museums in Delaware.

Delaware does have airplane museums, one is located on a military base at the Dover Air Force Base historical center. Delaware is nick named the diamond state. It has a land area 1,955 square miles, number 49 of the 50 states. Delaware's population is 668,700, number 46 out of 50 states. The capitol of Delaware is Dover and its largest city is Wilmington. The highest point in Delaware is located in New Castle City and is 442 feet.

Greetings, The Dover museum wasn't there when I was stationed there eons ago, and I believe it is only a couple years old. It is GREAT!Bob Krajicek

LOTS MORE THAN 7 AIRCRAFT!!!! Inside the hangar are the big attractions: B-17, & P-51,,,, Have exhibits about the base, about the planes, the people,,, around the planes are electronic boxes that play a short recording that tell of the duties of that station,,, recorded by a person who occupied that position. Tail gunner, waist gunner,,, Outside the hangar is a static display of at least a dozen planes. I was there on a slow day last fall, and the guide opened up a C-141, C-130, and would have opened more if I had more time to spend. Special hallway has photos of Medal of Honor winners, and descriptions of their deeds. Really a MUST SEE museum!
