This is the Russian Restaurant and Bar in Barentsburg, Svalbard, Norway.  Unfortunately I did not have enough time to visit this restaurant and bar so I could see the inside. 

I am wondering what this place looked like before the cold war ended.  I was told that the entire city was closed to people coming and going.  Also, I was further told, that there were gates with armed guards at the entrance of this city just like it was at the borders of other Russian territories.
