North Pole Travel and Global Warming, What it Means to You


Out in front of the Khatanga Hotel in Northern Siberia was this very strange Homemade trike motorcycle. 

The man and his boy were selling fur hats to the foreigners arriving for expeditions. 

The trike was a Russian made 175cc motorcycle that the man converted into a this special snow machine.  The wheels were made from some heavy gage wire welded to the hub and formed into a wheel.  The tires were truck inner tubes strapped to the wheels using reindeer leather.  This was an awesome snow driving motorcycle trike.  The man used a blow torch to preheat the engine so that he could get it started.
