Fi 156 Storch in Action
A rugged, Short Take Off and Landing (STOL) observation plane, the Storch had the dual distinction of being both the last dogfight victim on the Western front of World War II and the only enemy plane downed by pistol fire during the war. But despite that, the Storch had ten times the life expectancy of the Bf 109 fighter and was involved in many harrowing missions - including the mountaintop rescue of Mussolini - as you'll see in this thorough photo-history. 50 pages, approximately 100 B&W photographs, color profiles, detail drawings and more. 11"x 8", softcover.
Storch 1/72 Scale Model Kit
Plastic Model Kit
1/72 Scale Serving much the same liaison and artillery spotting missions for the German army as did the Piper L-4B for the USAAF, the Fi-156 Storch's most famous mission was the daring rescue of Benito Mussolini from an Italian stronghold in the Alps. Plastic kit requires assembly.

Heinkel He 100 1/72 Scale Kit
Plastic Model Airplane kit
A pre-World War II aircraft design that proved to be the fastest fighter in the world, the Heinkel He 100 was not ordered into production - due largely to the Luftwaffe's concentration on the Bf 109. Replicating one of the three Heinkel He 100D-0s - all three were later sold to the Imperial Japanese Navy -produced, this 1/72 scale plastic kit features recessed panel lines, a fully-outfitted cockpit, photo-etched detail parts, a choice of three "He 113 propaganda" markings, and more. 5" wingspan; 67 parts, assembly required.

Bombsights Over England
Erprobungsgruppe 210 in the
Battle of Britain. John Vasco. The activities of Erprobungsgruppe 210 over
England during the bitter fighting of summer 1940 are recorded here in
depth. Their main role was the use of the Me 109 and Me 110 as
fighter-bombers, lacking both the level flight of conventional bombers and
the steep dive of the Stuka. With its attention to detail and correction of
historical inaccuracies, this is a great addition to any WWII aviation
library. 192 pgs., 280+ B&W and color photos, 9"x 12", hdbd.
Me 309 V1/V2
Look at this hot rod prop fighter. This is a real hoped up version of the Bf 109.
Messerschmitt Bf 110/Me 210/Me 410
An Illustrated History. Mankau & Petrick. This examination of the legendary follow-up aircraft to the successful 109 documents the entire series. The twin-engine Bf 110 served in several fighter roles and as a recon platform. Then came the Me 210, which was quickly canceled because of unstable airframe and flight characteristics. Design changes led to the Me 410, which became a Luftwaffe workhorse. 360 pgs., 350+ B&W photos, line drawings, 8"x 11", hdbd.

152 H-1 Fighter
While similar in appearance to the Fw 190, the Ta 152 was a much better high-altitude fighter with its larger wingspan, larger tail fin and pressurized cockpit. World War 2

The Camouflage & Markings of the Aeronautica
Nazionale Repubblicana: 1944-45, D'Amico & Valentini. This book examines the
camouflage and markings of the Aeronautica Nationale Repubblicana (ANR), the
fascist air force formed following the wake of Italy's capitulation to the
Allies in 1943. Fighting with the Luftwaffe, the ANR was equipped with the
German Bf 109 as well as Italian fighters, bombers, torpedo and transport
aircraft - all of which are reviewed here with previously unpublished
photographs showing the camouflage and system markings by unit. 224 pages,
450 B&W photographs plus 40 color artworks, 9"x 12", hardcover.
From the Webmaster. This
sounds like a very interesting book. All of a sudden, the Allies
were fighting the Germans with the Bf 109 German Built Airplanes.
