A-7 on the USS Kitty Hawk

Click Here are two low flying A-7's, or should I say Too Low.  Do you remember in the last page where I talked about the Terrain Following Radar?  Well in this case, these pilots are sticking their canes out the window to feel the ground instead of using their radars.

It's obvious that these pilots are learning Low Level Tactics at Fallon Nevada.  This low level flight is used to avoid radar and to get the planes as close to the target as they can before being detected.  I've also seen A-7's practicing low level radar avoidance practice in the Kern Canyon in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
