The March of Dimes has been helping kids for many years.  The March of Dimes Race Team was designed to both increase the awareness of the efforts of the March of Dimes and develop another source of funds to fight for healthier babies. 

The March of Dimes Race Team has been racing the National Modified Midget Association NMMA 250cc and 600cc Race Cars, IMCA Modified V-8 Powered Stock Cars, Late Model Stock Cars and a 600cc Flat Track Motorcycle.  We were featured in many Southern Illinois and Northwestern Kentucky newspapers and Magazines and on several TV Stations including WSIL channel 6 in Carbondale and more.  The team then moved to West Central Illinois and was featured on many TV, Radio, Newspaper Magazine articles and two parades.  It's interesting, as the founder, operator and promoter of these teams, I went from being the March of Dimes Race Team manager to becoming a race track announcer, now for seventeen years, a staff writer and new products editor of Pit Stop Magazine, a staff writer and regional editor of Speedway Magazine, a guest on both radio and TV talk shows and in the headlines in many newspapers.  The truth is that all of this came about because I took a course which was written by E.
