Photos and specs of the Lockheed F80 shooting star jet fighter way above the clouds. The F-80C Shooting Star was made by Lockheed.   The shooting star was 34' 5" long, 11' 3" high and had a wingspan of 38' 9".  The F-80 Shooting Star used one Allison J33-A-35 jet engine producing 5,400 lbs of thrust.  It had a cruise speed of 439 mph and a maximum speed of 594 mph with a maximum climb rate of 6,870 ft/min.
