The F-80C Shooting Star was made by Lockheed. The shooting star was 34' 5" long, 11' 3" high and had a wingspan of 38' 9". The F-80 Shooting Star used one Allison J33-A-35 jet engine producing 5,400 lbs of thrust. It had a cruise speed of 439 mph and a maximum speed of 594 mph with a maximum climb rate of 6,870 ft/min.

F-80 Shooting Star, Lockheed TV-2 Shooting Star jet trainer. It had been identified as the TO-1 when assigned to North Island based VF-52 back in 1948. It is now called the T-33 most commonly. I had my first jet indoctrination in the T-33 at El Toro MCAS in 1951
