Does gun control work?

To me, gun control means being able to hit your target. 

This new senate bill sb-2099 will tax you on your gun ownership, will give the government super control on your right to bear arms, and will give government the ability to put you in jail for protecting your rights.  The tax on gun ownership also states that if you can't afford to pay their tax, which may go to any price they decide, you can not protect your property.  In other words, if you don't have any money, you don't have the right to own a gun.   Does gun control prevent crime, reduce crime or does gun control increase crime, that is the question.  Our readers are welcome to give their opinion.  Do we need guns?

Senate Bill SB-2099 Requires  All Guns Be Listed On Tax Returns  From Paul Moeller <emerald1@home.com>

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2000 1040 federal tax Form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. 

This bill was introduced on Feb. 24. This bill will become  public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.
