Beautiful Picture of the Fall trees above Eagle River Alaska

Mountain Roads above Eagle River Alaska, the Clouds are Rolling In

Beautiful View of Cook Inlet from Eagle River Alaska

In Alaska the views are fantastic, the air is clean, but I still had to stop to smell the flowers

  Photos by C. Jeff Dyrek

Still in Eagle River Alaska, there were too many beautiful mountains in that area.  They were absolutely beautiful.  The fall colors were in full bloom in the trees and the rain clouds would come and go leaving foggy areas, and rainbow areas.  I just can't describe the view, you have to see it for yourself.

So I headed up to the mountains on all of the curvy roads to look at the views and the houses that were built there.  In the top picture, you can see the lure that was attracting me to this wonderful place.

Now, take a look at the second picture.  This is looking back at Eagle River.  You can't see the city because of the clouds, but you sure can see how twisty these roads are.  The light is shining through the clouds lighting patches of trees with the vibrant Alaskan colors.

When I got further into the mountains I could see the Knik Arm of the Cook Inlet north of Anchorage just outside of Eagle River.  The views are heart stopping and I was ready for some beautiful girl to give me mouth to mouth respiration to get me going again, but I just wasn't lucky enough to have an emergency medical tech standing right there.

The fourth picture is super beautiful too.  The trees in Alaska and the mountain views are absolutely fantastic, but I had to take a little time to smell the flowers.

The fantastic part of this trip was that I had no responsibility.  Instead of living day by day having tons of work to do at work and still having to work after work with work on the weekends and taking vacation time just to catch up on the work.  Here in Alaska, I had no work to do.  I'm really disabled and am supposed to be laying down watching a ball game but, I would rather work on the web than watch any movie or ball game.  But in Alaska, I didn't have to do anything except breathe.  What a wonderful feeling.
